Cló Mhaigh Eo wins Irish Book of the Year Award!

President Michael D. Higgins presented the Irish Book of the Year award to Cló Mhaigh Eo in an awards ceremony last week. The award was granted for the ‘Gráinne Mhaol’ book after it had been placed on a shortlist along with four other high-quality children’s books. The Irish Book of the Year is a prestigious literary competition which recognises the excellent work being produced by writers and publishers in the Irish language. The competition is administered by Oireachtas na Gaeilge and funded by Foras na Gaeilge.

The epic story of Gráinne Mhaol is told in this beautifully illustrated book. The book was written by Gisela Pizzatto, illustrated by Bruno Büll and translated by Iarla Mac Aodha Bhuí. Cló Mhaigh Eo published the book and it is available online at HYPERLINK "http://www.leabhar.com/grainne-mhaol.htm" http://www.leabhar.com/grainne-mhaol.htm
