D’fhoghlaim Dan an Ghaeilge arís mar bhí sé ag iarraidh a pháistí a thógadh go dátheangach. Nuair a d’oscail sé a ghnó féin (3D Visualisation and Animation) thug sé ainm Gaeilge dó; Siscín. Tá an t-ábhar poiblíochta go hiomlán dhátheangach agus déanann Dan sár iarracht an Ghaeilge a labhairt go rialta.
Siscín was established in 2011 by Dan Deery to deliver high quality animations, images and BIM consultancy. Dan has over 20 years experience within the CAD, engineering and architectural industries, having worked in numerous large architectural and engineering companies throughout Ireland and the UK.
Dan has vast and varied experience on different types of projects, from small one-off houses to large projects such as urban developments, major infrastructure projects, oil rigs and pharmaceutical plants. In these projects Dan has gained extensive experience across multiple disciplines.
As well as 2D draughting and 3D visualisation, he has also worked in other roles including CAD Manager on large multinational projects and as a Technical Support Engineer & Programmer for one of the world's largest engineering and CAD software houses.
Over the past 20 years Dan has delivered training in numerous software to companies and training centres, as well as writing detailed training manuals.
With the development of Siscín, Dan and his team have been able to combine their many years of technical, 2D draughting and 3D visualisation skills to offer Siscín clients unrivalled service.
Dan returned to the Irish language as an adult with the intention of raising his children bilingually. When he first opened his business, a 3D Visualisation and Animation company, he gave it the Irish name of Siscín. All his publicity material can be found bilingually, and Dan speaks Irish whenever he has the opportunity.
