Is é Seán an chéad Éireannach riamh bheith mar bhall den Confrérie des Chevaliers du Goute Boudin (Bráithreachas Ridirí na Putóige Duibhe). 

Kelly’s Artisan Butchers is an award-winning family business which was established on the main street in Newport in the 1930's. It is currently run by brothers Sean & Seamus and Sean’s two sons, Kenneth and Cormac. Kelly's butchers are renowned for their black and white pudding and sausages which have won numerous national and international competitions, including the prestigious medal from the "Confrérie des Chevaliers du Goute- Boudin".

Kelly's "Putóg", is a traditional black pudding originally cooked inside a sheep's stomach casing. Bridgestone Guide publisher John McKenna describes proprieter Seán Kelly as "one of the most creative charcutiers in the entire country". Seán is the first ever Irish member of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Goute Boudin (The Black Pudding Fraternity of Lovers of Good Food).
