Holly House B&B & An Spailpín

Is le Tomás Ó hAoláin, iar-mhúinteoir bunscoile, é Holly House B&B agus an teach lóistín “An Spailpín”, atá lonnaithe ar bhóthar an Líonáin, i gCeathrú Bhán lasmuigh de Chathair na Mart.

Ar ndóigh is cainteoir líofa é Tomás agus bíonn an Ghaeilge le cloisteáil in Holly House B&B. Bíonn sí le feiceáil chuile áit chomh maith ar an gcomharthaíocht agus fiú ar an mbiachlár don bhricfeasta!

Cuireann Tomás ceachtanna saor in aisce ar fáil d'aon chuairteoir atá ag iarraidh cúpla focal Gaeilge a fhoghlaim, agus tá leabharlann lán le leabhair Gaeilge ar fáil dóibh chomh maith.

Níl aon dabht faoi ach go gcuirfear fáilte roimh phobal na Gaeilge…agus pobal an ghailf in Hollyhouse B&B agus An Spailpín.

Holly House B&B and the guesthouse “An Spailpín” which are located in Carrowbawn on the Leenane road outside Westport belong to Tomás Ó hAoláin, a former secondary school teacher.

Tomás, naturally, is fluent in Irish, and Irish can often be heard in Holly House B&B. It can be seen also on the signage, and even on the breakfast menu!

Tomás provides free lessons to any visitor who wants to pick up a few words of Irish, and he has an entire library of Irish books available too.

There’s no doubt but that the Irish community – and the golf community – are made very welcome in Holly House B&B and in An Spailpín.
