Cuinneog

Ba iad Tom agus Sheila Butler agus a gclann a bhunaigh Cuinneog Teoranta ar an bhfeirm a bhí acu sna Sraithíní, Balla sa bhliain 1990. Táirgeann muintir de Buitléar Im Tuaithe Feirme agus Bláthach Nádúrtha ag baint leasa as teicnící maistrithe a tugadh chun cinn ó ghlúin amháin go glúin eile, traidisiún a théann siar breis agus dhá mhíle bliain, agus mar sin ba oiriúnach é go mbeadh ainm branda Gaeilge ag an ngnólacht. De bharr gur i nGaeilge atá an t-ainm branda, meallann sé aird daoine ar na táirgí. Bhí grá mór riamh ag muintir Cuinneog don Ghaeilge ón gcéad lá riamh. Cé nach n-aithníonn gach duine láithreach an focal Cuinneog, bíonn suim acu ann, agus cuireann siad ceist ar na táirgeoirí cad is brí leis, rud a spreagann comhrá idir an táirgeoir agus an t-ábhar custaiméara, ar ndóigh!

Cuinneog Limited was established by Tom and Sheila Butler and their family on their farm in Sraheens, Ball in 1990.  “Cuinneog” is the Irish word for “Churn”. The Butlers produce their Irish Farmhouse Country Butter and Natural Buttermilk using churning techniques passed from one generation to another that date back over 2,000 years and felt it was fitting to have an Irish brand name. The fact that their brand name is in Irish attracts significant attention to their products. Irish has been close to the hearts of the Cuinneog team from the outset – they have always had a grá for their native tongue. Although the word Cuinneog may not be a term known to many people, it intrigues the customer, and thus engages the customer with the producer and is a great!
