Carraig Flowers

Is bláthadóir iad Carraig Flowers a bhaineann le Shane Fitzgerald.  Rinne Shane an cinneadh go mbeadh an focal “carraig” mar chuid den ainm mar tá baint ag an fhocal leis a chlann.  Tá comhartha “oscailte” ar an doras, agus baintear úsáid as an fhocal Gaeilge le cur síos a dhéanamh ar na bronntanais sa siopa, mar shampla, Fráma/Frame.  Tá cúpla focal ag Shane agus déanann sé iarracht í a úsáid sa siopa.  Nuair atá sé ag caint le custaiméir, deirtear “Go raibh maith agat” nó “Slán leat”.  Bíonn áthas ar na gcustaiméirí nuair a úsáideann sé an Ghaeilge leo.
Carraig Flowers in a wedding florist based in Westport and run by Shane Fitzgerald.  Shane decided that he wanted to include some Irish in his business name, and so introduced the word Carraig.  Inside the shop, Shane tries to use Irish wherever he can. He has an Oscailte/Dúnta sign on the door, and also tries to use the cúpla focal on the different signs in the shop.  Shane himself has the cúpla focal and when he’s in the shop, he tries his best to use it.  When he is dealing with customers he will try and say “Go raibh maith agat” or “Slán leat”.  He finds that customers love to hear him making use of his cúpla focal and some even try and engage him in a conversation, even though he has limited Gaeilge.
