A Stóirín

Nuair a bhí an smaoineamh ag Éilis Keane an gnó s’aici a fhorbairt, ba é ceann de na rudaí ba thábhachtaí a bhí le déanamh aici ná ainm branda a roghnú. Rinne sí dianmhachnamh ar ainm a chuimseodh an grá atá aici don Ghaeilge agus an paisean atá aici chun éadaí uathúla a lámhdhéanamh do pháistí. Is téarma ceana é ‘A Stóirín’, agus le tuismitheoirí a labhrann Gaeilge, ba chuid den dúchas a bhí ag Éilis bheith ag éisteacht lena leithéid de théarmaí. Déanann Eílis éadaí áille lámhdhéanta do pháistí agus deir sí, nuair a bhíonn sí amuigh ar an mbóthar le A Stóirín, gur aoibhinn le daoine labhairt léi i nGaeilge, rud a spreagann níos mó gnó ar ndóigh - buntáiste breise na Gaeilge!

When Éilis Keane came up with the idea to develop her business, one of the most important things was for her to choose a brand name. She thought long and hard for a name that would encapsulate both her love of the Irish language and her passion for creating unique handmade pieces for children. ‘A Stóirín’ is a term of endearment and being born to Irish speaking parents, such terms of endearment in our native tongue were part of her upbringing. Éilis makes handmade clothes for children and she says that when she is out and about with A Stóirín, she finds that people love to stop and chat in Irish which always leads to more business which is an added bonus!
